In conjunction with Academy of Sports Science, Legends Athletics offers an open enrollment sports academy that is designed to meet the needs of student athletes in a wide-range of sports and create a pool of players that have the potential to compete on a professional level.

Legends Academy Staff
John Berumen Jr.- Site Director
John Berumen, Jr. is a current Site Director for students in grades K-12 and is the Co-Owner and Operator of Legends Athletic Performance. John has been owner of Legends Athletic Performance for the past 4 going on 5 years, prior to that he coached youth sports for 20 years. Throughout his vast experience with youth and athletics, Mr. Berumen, Jr. has become an advocate for adolescent youth who are interested in furthering their athletic experience at the next level.
Lead Athletic Trainer: John Daniels
John Daniels is an expert in Exercise Science and has a Sports Medicine Degree from Cal Poly Pomona where he also played baseball/. JD is NSCA amd TPI Certified with Strength and Conditioning Coaching expertise for 18 years. JD interned at Cal Poly Pomona Fitness Center in 2006, worked with USD Football, Baseball and Womens Soccer in 2007 and 2008 and also worked with University of La Verne's Football and Soccer Teams. JD works with the students to ensure they have a fully rounded training program in place to meet each of their individual needs.
Athletic Trainer: Aaron Kim
Aaron Kim comes to us from the San Diego area where he worked at a Sports Training facility as a sports trainer. Coach Aaron played baseball as a catcher and 3rd baseman, played travel basketball for 10 years and football for a combined experience of almost 20 years. Aaron played in the Little League World Series where his team came in 2nd in the United States and 3rd in the World. He went on to play some college ball at San Diego Mesa College. Additionally, he has been providing baseball lessons for 9 years. We know that Aaron is a huge asset to Legends with his experience.
